International Fine Art Auctioneers, Bonhams, move to Exeter City Centre

Aaron Fox are delighted to confirm that their clients have completed the assignment of the lease on The Lodge at 10a Southernhay West in Exeter to Bonham’s 1793, the fine art Auctioneers and Valuers. The premises comprise a 2 story office building, being a landmark building and probably one of the best known buildings in the city centre due to its architecture and its location on the main walk through to the City and the Cathedral from Southernhay.

The offices are arranged on two floors totalling some 143 sq.m (1,545 sq.ft) and were available by way of the remainder of an FRI lease which expires in September 2012. The passing rent was £29,500 pax.

This will represent the Area office for Bonham’s, who until recently had auction rooms at Honiton, and will in additon to providing their office function allow them the opportunity to offer previews of some of their London sales catalogues. Tony Noon from Aaron Fox who handled the letting confirms that Bonham’s will now be carrying out some fit out and internal refurbishment over the coming weeks with the intention of opening in December this year.

Tony Noon also confirms that this is a notable letting for the city, and an important occupier for Southernhay, and shows there is still a demand for well located premises where flexible and competitive terms can be agreed. For further information on this or any other building please contact Tony Noon who would be delighted to assist.
